In Move from Midtown, ‘Ierimonti Gallery’ Readies 55 Delancey Showroom
After Brennan & Griffin Gallery relocated to Norfolk Street last year, its former headquarters on Delancey Street remained vacant. The only action during its year-long dormancy was when Petee’s Pie used the space for its busy Thanksgiving rush last November.
But now, more of the same is on the way. An art gallery from midtown is headed downtown.
The Ierimonti Gallery inked a five-year lease for 800 square-feet at 55 Delancey Street ($132 per square-foot), and will christen the showroom on September 22. The inaugural show is an exhibit of works by artist Nebojsa Despotovic called “Enemy Who Must be Loved.”
While the space is not yet active, the window branding was nevertheless installed.
Ierimonti was founded in Milan in 1991 and eventually settled on 57th Street.
