Contrary to police scanner reports at the time, a 26-year-old woman was shot in the left arm by a gun-wielding cyclist shortly after 5am outside the Hotel on Rivington. She was apparently exiting a taxi at the time.

According to police, four shots were fired, one hitting the victim in the upper shoulder. We’re told that four 9mm casings were found at the scene.

The victim was later transported to Bellevue Hospital; her condition is not known at this time.

The 7th Precinct is investigating, and trying to secure surveillance video from nearby businesses.
