Celebrate Chanukah with 150 Eclectic Menorahs at the Eldridge Street Synagogue
Chanukah has arrived, and with it, over one-hundred-fifty menorahs for a special holiday exhibit at the Eldridge Street Synagogue.
“Let There Be Light!,” as it’s called, is a collection of quirky and one-of-a-kind menorahs on loan from the Lori and David Moore family, who have amassed the eclectic array as part of an annual family tradition for their kids.
The menorahs run the gamut from traditional to creative; on display include an oversized book of matches, an American flag (as tribute to September 11), and even mah jongg tiles.
Sounds like there’s something for everyone. Check it out through January 2, 2018 at the Museum at Eldridge Street (12 Eldridge Street). Admission is donation-based, aka pay what you wish.
