No more standing around for fifteen minutes wondering when the next F train will arrive at the East Broadway station. Now, you’ll still stand around, but at least you’ll know. That’s right, those newfangled countdown clocks above the subway platform are operational.
Took long enough, though. The city first installed the technology in this subway station three months ago, but didn’t enable the functionality until late last week. Before that it served up the usual MTA public service announcements.
