This Dapper ‘Dogman’ is Headed for Chinatown to Celebrate the Lunar Year of the Dog
It’s the year of the Dog…man.
In Chinese tradition, when a dog enters a home it symbolizes the coming of good luck. The aptly named “He Thought This was Going to be a Year of Good Fortune,” is a 900 pound bronze statue that will sit in Kimlau Square, apple in hand, bestowing peace and good fortune to those who amble past.
The sculpture proposal will go before Community Board 3 in February for approval.
Better a dapper Dogman than the Wolfman.
