Inside the Spiffed-up Delancey Street McDonald’s, Back Open After 4 Months
Delancey Street has its McDonald’s back after a four-month hiatus. For better or worse.
The corner fast food joint returned to the fray yesterday afternoon, as expected. Corporate suits spent the day welcoming with a smile as customers queued to order from the fancy new kiosks by the entrance.
Gone is the dank and dumpy feel of the predecessor, replaced instead with an upscale, industrial feel.
There is plenty of seating of the booth and table variety, both upstairs on the recently constructed mezzanine, and on the main level itself.
Just give it a few weeks, though. These luxury accommodations will likely devolve and resume distinction as one of the most notorious McDonald’s franchises in the area.
