‘BonBon’ is Bringing Swedish Candy to Allen Street

Last fall, street artist Rae spent a month living out of an Allen Street storefront. Life on full display. The fishbowl style stunt was broadcast live on YouTube 24/7, and garnered plenty of media attention. Since his departure, though, the former real estate office space has been vacant.

Until now.

A Swedish candy shop called BonBon is on the way, perhaps giving Economy Candy a little bit of competition on its Hell Square home turf. The sweets store at 130 Allen features “pick and mix” candies like salted licorice, Fazer Marianne, and Dumle.

We’re told that BonBon is roughly three weeks from opening.
