‘Orchard Block’ Co-Working Space Unveiled on Orchard Street

Bucking the trend, this long-vacant Orchard Street space won’t give way to another gallery. Instead, a new co-working space just dipped a proverbial toe in the waters of the Lower East Side.

An incubator called Orchard Block is close to opening on its namesake street. Its arrival on the ground floor of 32 Orchard Street marks the third such co-working space within five blocks, behind the Projective Space and The Yard.

This commercial space was previously home to M&M Environmental. You’ll recall the longtime local exterminators departed the neighborhood right around the time 32 Orchard Street sold for $6.99 million.
