Pickle Guys will Start Grinding Super Hot Passover Horseradish this Weekend

Passover falls quite early this year – at the end of March – so the Pickle Guys are getting a head start on serving up their special sauce. Homemade super-hot horseradish ground onsite.

Horseradish sales begin on Sunday (March 18) and will likely draw crowds. Expect the gas-masked grinder, as always, and a horde of customers queueing to partake. The larger location across the way at 357 Grand Street definitely alleviates the bottleneck of years past. Either way, ownership continually tells us it’s usually best to wait until mid-week before stocking your fridge (or seder plate) with the requisite bitterness.

Kosher for Passover Russell Borscht, pickles, pickled tomatoes, sweet peppers, and mangos, among other treats, are also available for purchase.

The Pickle Guys close for the holiday at 1pm on March 30, and return to regular hours on April 8.

It would appear Essex Crossing has egg on its face. Literally. Yet, it appears as […]

The bottleneck blues continues at the junction of Grand and Clinton Streets.
