Police Searching for Trio Behind Knockout Slashing Attack on Delancey Street
Three people are wanted for a gruesome knockout and slashing on Delancey Street Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The 40-year-old victim had been standing outside the Lutowisker Synagogue near the corner of Delancey and Columbia Streets when approached by the three suspects. One of the attackers, seen in wanted posters wearing a blue jacket, approached from behind, and knocked him out cold; the accomplices then swooped in and slashed his face with a sharp object (likely a knife).
Police said the man in blue fled eastbound down Delancey, while the others ran toward the Baruch Houses. Detectives are still investigating.
Anyone with information is asked to please contact the 7th Precinct Detective Squad at (212) 477-7671.
