Hell Square’s Latest Pizza Joint Debuts on Ludlow Street

The latest pizza joint to join the Hell Square landscape is now operational. While still unnamed at the moment – employees couldn’t confirm its identity – the takeout spot has been slinging slices from the storefront of 159A Ludlow Street since last week.

What makes this place unique is the lack of space inside. The sparse square-footage is occupied by the ovens, refrigerator, and ingredients. It’s seemingly geared for warmer weather, with French doors opening onto the sidewalk.

As previously reported, this latest pizzeria adds to the glut of cheese, as it were, that already saturates Hell Square. At last count, there are eleven slice spots in the immediate vicinity, including the forthcoming restaurant by Anthony Mangieri’s Una Pizza Napolatana at 175 Orchard Street.
