Regal Cinemas at Essex Crossing is Going for Full Liquor License
The so-called “Gateway” tower of Essex Crossing – sheathed in shit brown cladding – is inching closer to completion. Standing at 26 stories, the mixed-use development at Site 1 carries with it a 14-screen Regal Cinemas on the first five floors.
And now we learn that the multiplex wants to serve liquor.
Application materials submitted to Community Board 3 last week show that Regal will offer up “American” style food and booze to moviegoers. Apparently all served from the concession stand, according to the public paperwork.
Regal Cinemas goes before the SLA subcommittee on April 16.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson from the consortium of developers behind Essex Crossing disclosed that the forthcoming move theater should open sometime in fall 2018.
