Streit’s Matzo Condos on Rivington Street Getting Glassed up

Having topped out two months ago, the luxury condoplex that replaced the Streit’s Matzo Factory now sports some newfound exterior definition. Wraparound white glass – no doubt a soot magnet – is visible around the second floor of 150 Rivington Street, slowly making its way up the concrete skeleton.

As previously reported, the family-owned Streit’s Matzo business sold its original factory at 148-154 Rivington Street to Cogswell Realty in January 2015 for $30.5 million. This glassy replacement consists of 45 one-, two-, and three-bedroom condos, including four duplex penthouses on the seventh/eighth floor. Building amenities include bike room, gym, laundry, storage, and rooftop terrace with outdoor fireplace and kitchen.

There are still seven apartments available, ranging in price from $1 million to $2.75 million.

Matzo Factory operations are now headquartered upstate in Rockland County.
