The commercial ranks of 290 Grand Street are slowly filling out. Barely two months after Granddaddy Coffee opened in the cornershop, the remaining ground level interior is being fitted for a new Lower East Side escape room.

As previously reported, Hungarian-based PanIQ signed a lease for 3,000 square-feet split between two ground-level stores and the full basement. Signage appeared above the Eldridge Street entrance last week.

Upon debut, PanIQ will boast five escape room themes including the Insane Asylum, Prison, and Wild West

290 Grand Street went under the knife two years ago, resulting in the loss of the Lok Sing Chinese Restaurant. Remodeling concluded at the outset of 2017
