Violent Robbery in Broad Daylight at Bank of America ATM on East Houston
Police are searching for the criminal wanted in connection with the violent robbery and pummeling of a customer at the Broadway-Lafayette Bank of America branch.
At 3:08 pm on April 27, the suspect approached the victim and asked for $100. When the 35-year-old man refused, the perp decked him, continued assaulting him on the ground, then ran off with a wallet.
Surveillance video shows the incident in detail, and points to another known trend. A textbook case for Psychology classrooms, as it appears none of the other customers at the money machines came to the victim’s aid.

This Bank of America location – essentially a branded ATM lobby – is situated above the subway station and often has issues with the front door not locking.
The suspect is described as standing 6 feet tall, 20-25 years old and was wearing a baseball cap, olive green jacket, dark colored hooded sweater, grey pants, and white sneakers.
