Anthony Bourdain, the celebrity chef, author, and adventure-seeker, died earlier this morning. He was 61.

CNN confirmed the cause of death was suicide.

Bourdain was in France working on an upcoming episode of CNN’s Parts Unknown, when his close friend Eric Ripert, the French chef, reportedly found Bourdain unresponsive in his hotel room Friday morning.
