Chinatown Plagued by Spate of Burglaries

The 5th Precinct is warning residents about a spate of home burglaries in Chinatown over the past week.
Police say that the suspect, described as an Hispanic male with medium build in his thirties, has struck at least six buildings so far. Four locations were reportedly hit this past Tuesday alone – 41 Kenmare, 100 Mosco, 54 Henry, and 165 Elizabeth. The M.O. is accessing apartments through back windows and fire escapes, and making off with residents’ valuables.
Time frame of crimes is usually between noon and 10pm.
