Lock your doors. Hide your kids. Hide your wife.

The 5th Precinct is warning residents about a spate of home burglaries in Chinatown over the past week.

Police say that the suspect, described as an Hispanic male with medium build in his thirties, has struck at least six buildings so far. Four locations were reportedly hit this past Tuesday alone – 41 Kenmare, 100 Mosco, 54 Henry, and 165 Elizabeth. The M.O. is accessing apartments through back windows and fire escapes, and making off with residents’ valuables.

Time frame of crimes is usually between noon and 10pm.

That Garbage Fire Burning on Orchard Street [VIDEO]

Nothing to see here. Just a casual daytime garbage fire burning on a hot summer afternoon outside the Irving Farm coffee shop on Orchard Street. The Faux Rag & Bone Video Store Ad Mural

With hipsters and millennials fiending for analog media like vinyl and cassette tapes, it wouldn’t be all that surprising if VHS movies were to stage a comeback as well.
