Cabbie Wouldn’t Take his Fare, So this Perp Stole the Taxi
Police are searching for a suspect who stole a taxicab on Allen Street when a cabbie declined the fare several weeks ago.
Early in the morning on June 23 (roughly 3:30am), an unidentified taxi driver allegedly refused to drive the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Mount Vernon resident Jorane Pinnock, to his requested destination. Apparently, a heated argument ensued. When the driver stepped out of the car – on Allen Street just north of Delancey – he was reportedly struck on the back of the head, and the man drove off with the cab.
A yellow cab.
Cops released the following wanted posting on Twitter last week, as the suspect is still at large.
