Longstanding ‘Missbehave’ Mural on Eldridge Goes Anti-Gun

After an impressive decade-plus residency, the Missbehave mural is gone, instead replaced with a different message. A pro-social, anti-gun commentary in an appropriate spot. Right next to Cascades High School.

The new wall art (“Stop Guns”) has been underway the last few days, and features a school kid taking a selfie while posing with a gun.

Street artist Mike Giant painted the Missbehave pinup girl more than ten years ago to advertise Samantha Moeller’s boutique of same at 231 Eldridge Street. The chic riot grrl spot shuttered long ago, yet the artwork persevered.
