‘Option A’ Angers Neighbors with ‘Savage’ Shirt Display on Grand Street

If Option A on Grand Street was seeking some sort of controversy, it may have one.

Neighbors we spoke to are upset about the “inappropriate” display of foul-mouthed merch in its windows. Specifically, the mannequin dressed in profanity-laden gear; “Savage as Fuck” is printed on the one-piece bathing suit.

One tipster seemed concerned that the apparel is advertised mere steps from Victoria Children’s Group (day care), and down the block from P.S. 42 at Hester Street (Benjamin Altman).

(Option A spawned from the ruins of the Avante Garde gallery in the same spot.)

The Urban Dictionary defines the phrase Savage as Fuck – “when someone or something does something outrageously cool or hilarious that requires zero to negative chill. Being called this gives you respect from those who call you it.”
