Tenement Museum Announces New Kiosk at the ‘Market Line’
Another Lower East Side institution is joining forces with the Essex Crossing behemoth known as the Market Line.
Yup, the Tenement Museum is embracing the billion-dollar mega-development with a new kiosk space in what will be the 150,000 square-foot upscale market, set to debut later this year.
The booth will give visitors a chance to explore the mission and story behind the Tenement Museum, while also providing screen-based tour schedules, personal immigration stories from ongoing projects, and other relevant visiting information. And then you can walk a few blocks to visit the actual museum.
Kevin Jennings, president of the Tenement Museum, says “this alliance is very natural. Much like the Tenement Museum, The Market Line and Essex Crossing more generally are working to create understanding of the storied past of the neighborhood while continuing to give space to new immigrant narratives.”
Seriously? A brave new world…
