Freemans Sporting Club Barbershop Reopens on Rivington Today

The convoluted saga of Freemans Sporting Club Barbershop continues with its return to Rivington Street today. The business has been on the sidelines for the last year, during which time several of its former barbers seceded and started their own barbershop – dubbed Tuft – one block away on Stanton Street.

Reason given for the lengthy hiatus was the oft-employed “remodeling” euphemism.

FSCB reopens at 8 Rivington today (September 10). A requisite launch party is planned two days later, where barbers onsite will be offering free cuts.
