Scoop it up: ‘BIVE’ Revives Ice Cream at 95 Orchard Street

After a brief flirtation with popcorn, 95 Orchard Street is returning to its (recent) roots. Back to ice cream.

Contractors building out the space tell us that a new “healthy” ice cream company called BIVE is on the way. Not much is known just yet about this business, but expected debut is sometime later this month. Just in time for the last days of summer.

Specialty popcorn purveyor, Pop Karma, previously spent six years at 95 Orchard Street before its demise this past February. il Laboratorio del Gelato occupied the space for eight years until it moved to 180 Ludlow in November 2010 (but they later returned for a brief pop-up).
