Police Seek Suspect in Connection with McDonald’s Robbery on Delancey Street
Corporate can gussy it up all they like, but the remodeling of McDonald’s on Delancey Street is akin to the proverbial lipstick on a pig. Indeed, the fast food joint remains a magnet for crime. It’s just in the storefront DNA.
The McDonald’s fell victim to a robbery Monday night. According to police, the thief entered the premises and forcibly stole cash from the till. A struggle with the cashier reportedly ensued before the perp made off with a measly $106. He then fled northbound on Essex Street.
Police now seek the suspect, described as 6-foot-3, and wearing a gray sweatshirt and red beanie.
