Woman Mugged at Gunpoint on Clinton Street

Police are on the hunt for a suspect in connection with a gunpoint robbery at the northwest corner of Clinton and Delancey Streets early yesterday morning.

Shortly after 1:00am, an unidentified female was approached by an Hispanic male, who allegedly assaulted then robbed her at gunpoint. The perp clocked the victim on the left side of her face and kicked her in the left torso. He later fled the scene with her phone and bag.

The victim, who was reportedly drunk according to the police report, was removed to Bellevue Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The suspect is described as an Hispanic male standing 5-foot-8, and wearing black pants, gray swearshirt, and black sneakers with red laces.

The 7th Precinct is currently canvassing and reviewing surveillance footage of the mugging for more info.
