Crowd surfing at Japandroids, June 2018

Yesterday saw the announcement of the lineup for Governors Ball, and it’s as eclectic as ever. There are plenty of up-and-comers mixed together with longtime veterans on the 2019 festival bill.

This year, headliners are particularly massive, seeing the likes of Tyler the Creator, Lil Wayne, Florence + the Machine, Major Lazer, The Strokes, and Nas. Other bands blipping the radar include Lily Allen, Mitski, Sunflower Bean, and Calpurnia (with lead frontman Finn Wolfhard, of Stranger Things fame). The 2019 artists certainly have a tall order to fill, after last year’s sonic spectacular.

The 9th iteration of this festival kicks off May 31 and runs through June 2 on Randall’s Island. Tickets are on sale now. Full line up below.
