We’d all but given up on 76 Orchard Street. The retail unit has been vacant and for lease since late-2015. All these years later, a new occupant.

You may have noticed the open doors of late. The most obvious signal.

A new establishment with an intriguing name is moving in. Dubbed Skin Contact, the newcomer is a 38-seat “wine bar serving finger food and wine and beer.” Principals listed on the Community Board 3 application are Stephanie Djie, Salma Zerrei, and Eben Lillie (from Chamber Street Wines).

76 Orchard was once-upon-a-time occupied by Ochado Ramen. The eatery followed shortly after Spur Tree folded, yet had a rocky tenure that lasted barely two years.
