Prince Tea House Starts Serving on the Bowery

Something new is brewing on the Bowery. Promised for five months, the Prince Tea House is now operational in the Lighting District.

The Lower East Side is the second Manhattan tea spot (134 Bowery) for the Flushing-based mini chain, which also counts four outer-borough locations in Queens and Brooklyn.

Offerings include a variety of hot and cold teas, plus pastries to pair. Booze, too.

Lots of change on this block in recent years. This address was included in the assemblage that sold to Emmut Properties (134-142 Bowery) in 2015 for $42.5 million. Its neighbor to the north was demolished in favor of an eight-story brick compound, which is now home to the Selina hotel. And across the street, Marriott’s Moxy imprint is on the way.
