Cheeky’s Sandwiches Moves Around the Corner; Burrito Spot on the Way

Cheeky’s Sandwiches
is now serving around the corner from its longtime Orchard Street home.

As of last week, the ten-year-old business is operating out of the narrow shoe-box retail of 36 Allen (essentially the backside of its HQ). The change of location, albeit temporary, hasn’t dampened crowds, though. A visit this week had us pinned up against the whiteboard walls.

Here it will remain for at least the next month while owner Din Yates renovates 35 Orchard Street. When that project wraps, it’ll make way for that burrito stand we previously reported. It’s apparently called The Jetty, according to the application with Community Board 3, and will feature several breakfast burrito, taco, and burrito options.

(The application was withdrawn before the October SLA subcommittee meeting.)

Our multiple requests for comment went unanswered.
