LES Subway Entrances Gain Flashy New Ad Displays
In a not-so-surprising move, the MTA unveiled new high-definition screens atop subway entrances along East Houston Street. Dispensing with the analog look at the 2nd Avenue and Broadway-Lafayette stations.
That short reprieve from any advertising – roughly a one-month honeymoon – is officially over.
As of yesterday afternoon, the flashy displays, manufactured by SoHo’s Videri, are not yet activated. Just the static branding of the agency booking the ads – OutFront Media.
The silver lining, perhaps, is that the screen size is not as cumbersome as the older enclosures.
