Out of nowhere, news that Scarr’s Pizza is expanding to include a second city location this spring.
Eater had the scoop yesterday, citing the website of the architecture firm Le Whit, which lists the pizzeria as client. The new location is similarly small – 250 square-feet, but “reiterating the restaurant’s current branding” with its “retro diner look and feel, pairing graffiti art and hip-hop allusions with classic wood siding, Formica countertops and diner stools.”
In fact, it’ll take up space inside a forthcoming midtown food hall from the folks behind Dekalb Market.
Owner Scarr Pimetel founded his namesake pizzeria at 22 Orchard Street back in 2016. It’s been a popular draw since opening.
