A producer of Sleep No More hopes to open a new nightclub on the Lower East Side.
The as-yet-unnamed venue is a partnership between Arthur Karpati and Christopher Brooks, with a proposed location of 191 Chrystie Street, which, for the last few years, hosted the et al club. Application materials on file with Community Board 3 detail an establishment with full liquor license, 19 tables and 78 seats. Proposed hours of operation are 11:00am to 4:00am daily.
Karpati, who is one-third of the production team behind Sleep No More” (Emursive), owns the building at 191 Chrystie and lives there with his family.
The team will appear (virtually) before CB3 for liquor license approval next Monday.
