Saxon + Parole Looks to be Shuttered on the Bowery
Saxon + Parole has yet to re-emerge from the months-long coronavirus lockdown. And looks to be closed for good on the Bowery.
Several readers noticed the closure at 316 Bowery and that a truck recently carted away fixtures from the restaurant. However, we have been unable to confirm whether Saxon + Parole will reopen. Ownership did not respond to multiple requests for comment, and the phone line remains temporarily disconnected.
If the shutter proves permanent, it would conclude nearly nine years on the Bowery for Saxon + Parole, the establishment that AvroKO and Chef Brad Farmerie replaced with its own predecessor, Double Crown. It opened in late 2011 with a name that alluded to “a pair of New York racehorses that attracted national attention about 100 years ago.”
