The intersection of Orchard and Broome Streets is becoming more vegan-friendly by the day. Joining Moo Shoes and Orchard Grocer, and sitting beside Erin McKenna’s Babycakes is a new vegan Chinese-American restaurant.
Fat Choy opened last week at 250 Broome, the space that formerly hosted Kottu House the four years prior. The snack shop described its food as “kind of Chinese,” with a menu consisting of Chef’s Specials (Mushroom Sloppy, Rice Rolls) and Sides (salads, bok choy, dumplings).
The 1,050 square-foot space (including basement) was previously marketed for $6,900 per month after the departure of Kottu House in July 2019.
