The ‘Supreme Loser’ on the Bowery
Earlier this week, downtown skatewear company, Supreme, sold for an uncanny $2.1 billion. Now, the street responds.
Just up the block from Supreme headquarters in the Germania Bank Building, a new mural at 246 Bowery mocks with the statement – Supreme Loser. Using the red box logo and white Futura Heavy Oblique font the apparel company lifted from designer Barbara Kruger, the piece carries a double message. Both a commentary on the corporate acquisition as well as Trump having lost the election.
