Lower East Side pizzerias are apparently a hot target for area criminals these days.
Police said that Rivington Pizza was robbed two consecutive nights during Thanksgiving week. The burglar first broke into the eatery (just east of Clinton) on November 22, and made off with $170 cash. He returned two days later but didn’t steal anything.
Cops later arrested the crook, and charged him with burglary.
The incident transpired days before the dollar pizzeria at 105 Stanton also fell victim to robbery. It’s unclear if that event is connected.
