Man Stabs Roommate then Jumps to his Death on Canal Street

Canal Street Street between Rutgers and Allen Streets is an active crime scene due to an apparent murder suicide on the block this morning at around 10:00am.

Cops confirm that a 43-year-old man was stabbed at 42 Canal Street, and that the suspect then leaped from the rooftop. We’re told that the victim is in stable condition, but that the attacker was rushed to the hospital in serious condition where he later died.

Word on the street is that the two individuals were roommates in the building.
