Chinatown Welcomes New Easy Access COVID-19 Testing Sites

Finally a step in the right direction. Pop-up COVID-19 test sites opened in Chinatown yesterday, providing much-needed alternatives to locals seeking a swab.
The sites – one at 62 Mott Street, and the other at Confucius Plaza – offer walk-in swab tests and antibodies tests. Center Laboratories is handling testing and results, which are emailed or texted usually within 48 hours.
I was able to get nasal swab and antibody test done within 10 minutes, and feel this will definitely alleviate the long lines at Gouverneur Hospital, the community hub for coronavirus testing. The new locations provide easy access for seniors living in the vicinity, and are staffed by Cantonese and Mandarin speaking volunteers.
The sites will remain in operation for the foreseeable future.
