Hell Square Gets ‘Pig and Butter’ Brunch

From bovine to swine.

There is a new fast-casual spot in Hell Square called Pig and Butter, taking the torch from Burger People at 134 Ludlow Street.

The new greasy spoon – which is advertised as proudly Black owned – is a brunch restaurant that serves up comfort food with plenty of pig meat. There are all-day breakfast options including waffles and chicken, and Mexican Chorizo Scramble, as well as a selection of burgers.

Its presence on the block now competes with the eight-year-old Sweet Chick just up Ludlow Street.

Pig and Butter opened for business last week.
