Police Seek Suspect Who Stabbed Basketball Player in Luther Gulick Playground
Luther Gulick Playground reopened to the public last fall after much fanfare, having undergone a $10 million restoration. But the criminal element is still part of the equation.
Indeed, a man playing basketball Sunday evening was stabbed, cops said.
The victim was reportedly shooting hoops at 8:10pm when an unidentified man approached, accusing him of looking at his girlfriend. The suspect then left, but returned a short time later with a knife, demanding the victim leave the park, according to police.
The suspect then stabbed the basketball player in the left shoulder. The victim sustained a small laceration and was treated at the hospital.
