Man Stabbed in Chest Outside Multimillion-Dollar Condo on Forsyth Street
A man is fighting for life after being stabbed in the chest outside a luxury Lower East Side condo building, police said.
The incident transpired shortly before noon on Saturday, when a purported dispute between erupted between two individuals near 204 Forsyth Street, across from Sara D. Roosevelt Park. (Neither is a resident, cops said.) The assailant then plunged a kitchen knife into the chest of the victim before fleeing.
The victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital with life-threatening injuries, but is expected to survive.
Detectives from the 5th Precinct are still investigating, and describe the suspect as a man in his late 20s, described as bald and wearing a green shirt.
