100 Norfolk Street

It seems that construction work related to 100 Norfolk is again running afoul of the Department of Buildings. An upset reader informed us yesterday that a team of contractors blocked off the street north of Delancey and spent the better part of the day jackhammering for sewer related work. Despite the deluge. According to DOB […]

Looks like Neuman’s Kitchen catering will soon be giving up its hold on 173 Chrystie Street. Development is coming soon, and it should give you pause. ODA Architecture – bankrolling the hot mess of cantilevered condos at 100 Norfolk – has its muscle in this match as well. Public records indicate that Yaniv Cohen of […]

100 Norfolk Street has yet to rise above its tattered plywood perimeter, yet its housing stock is already on the open market. The cantilevered mess of condos destined for this site are solely for the upper crust. Sales of the thirty homes went live yesterday, as did the official website. The eyesore proposed for 100 […]

The project site at 100 Norfolk Street now boasts branded plywood wrapping for the eventual mess of construction to debut here shortly. Helmed by Adam America Real Estate and the Horizon Group, the 12-story development now carries the cringeworthy tagline of “38 units 100 reasons” to be here. A new website also just went live, but […]

Well, this is rather unexpected. The Sleepy’s outpost at 138 Delancey Street closed its business operations over the weekend. Twin printouts taped to the front doors indicate as much, steering customers to the location at the Red Square strip mall on East Houston. We called and confirmed that the closure is indeed permanent. The so-called […]

While 100 Norfolk Street barrels toward a glassy cantilevered future (now a pit), its pre-war neighbor one door to the north has hit the market. A new real estate listing for the property went live this week via Massey Knakal, proposing a price of $11.95 million. Interesting that said development is not even mentioned in […]

Get ready for more glass. Cantilevered glass. It’s coming. Permits were filed back in June of this year, but now demolition of 100 Norfolk Street is well underway, advancing at quite a clip. Indeed, most of the two-story building is now simply dust in a curbside dumpster. It shouldn’t be long before all remaining evidence […]

It wasn’t just another bad dream. Hell naw. Those cantilevered condos are most certainly happening over at 100 Norfolk Street, steps from that other (Blue) monstrosity. Peas in a pod they’ll be.

Just when we thought total out-of-context development had run its course, we stumbled upon designs for a new glass monstrosity at 100 Norfolk Street.

100 Norfolk Street has been on the block for over two years already, and recently sold for an all-cash sum of $8.8 million (6% above ask).
