Lots more fashion flight to report in Hell Square. Now it’s Colfax & Bale that’s gone bust. The urban-wear boutique at 174 Ludlow Street shuttered within the last week. Colfax and Bale sounds more like a high-end department store or maybe one of those law firms advertised on the subway. Far from it, though. It’s actually the name of a new street-style apparel store opening at 174 Ludlow Street. For the last year, 174 Ludlow had been a vacancy, with its security gate perpetually shuttered. […]

It’s another neighborhood boutique shuffle. Two weeks ago, TG170 danced on down to 77 Ludlow Street, at the corner of Broome. Now, with the bed still warm and cozy, as it were, its old headquarters at 170 Ludlow is gaining a new storefront business…from just up the block.
