A hearse parked on the Lower East Side is enough of an attention-grabber. Add to that a photo-op with an eerily realistic blow-up doll, and that’s, well, a formula for total spectacle.

186 Orchard Street is the perennial pop-up locale on the Lower East Side.  A storefront vacancy that has trouble being filled.  It seems that every month, a new temporary store or gallery moves in or out of the space.  And now another boutique is on deck.
