The Bowery just lost another restaurant supplier – Prince Restaurant Equipment at 241 Bowery. Earlier this week, we watched as one ladder-bound laborer carefully removed the orange awning from the storefront. Directly below, a store for rent sign is affixed to the window near the entrance of the Sunshine Hotel.

Since Miss Hoe first announced its presence at the corner of Prince and Bowery last month, progress inside the storefront has been masked behind a wall of brown paper. The corner of Bowery and Prince is a hotbed of activity these days. Indeed, in the wake of news that Miss Hoe is set to open at 230 Bowery, there is more retail turnover to report just around the corner at 4 Prince Street.

A new boutique shop called Miss Hoe will soon open at 230 Bowery (aka 2 Prince), directly across from the New Museum. This corner real estate was previously occupied by Prince Restaurant Equipment, but after its closure, remained vacant for many moons, jailed behind drawn security gates.
