New Museum Projects Art of Amy Granat [Video]

After dark, the New Museum turns on a projector which blasts an epileptic assortment of Rorschach-inkblot-esque images onto the building facade of 243 Bowery.  The looped video is part of a three-pronged exhibition at the museum by artist Amy Granat, dubbed Light 3 Ways.

Salon 94 Bowery is Now Open

As reported last month, Salon 94 now has a location at 243 Bowery, right next door to the controversial tapas restaurant currently in the works.  This is the second Lower East Side gallery outpost, and third citywide, for the company.

Recap: 245 Bowery Restaurant Meeting

Last night, the owners of the future restaurant at 245 Bowery held a public meeting for their latest enterprise, currently dubbed “S.R.O.”  Turnout was rather abysmal – just five people.  Nevertheless, the interaction was informative, and we now have a better glimpse of what’s happening here.

Coming Soon: Salon 94 Bowery at 243 Bowery

Because there aren’t enough galleries on the Bowery already, what’s one more?  Beginning May 15, the on-again-off-again storefront at 243 Bowery (corner of Stanton) will become part of the Salon 94 mini-empire.  Salon 94 Bowery joins the three-year-old Salon 94 Freemans as their second Lower East Side gallery location, and third citywide.  The trifecta, if you will.
