It was almost a year ago that REI revealed its intentions for the Puck Building, and EMS collectively shit its pants.

Yesterday morning, The Real Deal brought blockbuster news that REI will be opening a tremendous outpost in the landmarked Puck Building at the southeast corner of East Houston and Lafayette. The sporting goods store recently inked the deal with Kushner Companies, which owns the property, and plans to open in fall 2011.
