Skal. That’s the Icelandic toast equivalent of cheers, Prost, salud, or l’chaim. It’s also the name of the new Nordic establishment opening at 37 Canal Street.

And it’s actually happening. Nordic nightlife is replacing a longtime French-themed hangout down on Canal Street.
