Parked alongside the Eisner Brothers building at 75 Essex Street is this old school Volkswagen Beetle.  It sits there, seemingly out of use and rusting away.  Yesterday afternoon, its twenty-first century descendant was parked around the corner on Broome Street. Punchbuggy tan, no punchbacks!

Thanks to a tip from @lowereastnyc yesterday, we learned that By Robert James moved to 72 Orchard Street, just across the street from its original location.  We passed by the the trendy studio-slash-boutique later in the day, and saw the shopkeepers polishing up their new diggs.  Store signage is not in place yet.
