As expected, that asbestos abatement work inside the Delancey Street F station earlier this month resulted in the loss of the longstanding attendant booth. A sizable footprint remains visible on the grime-laden tile floor. Crazy to see just how little space the station attendant once had inside that structure.

A familiar construction site combo of plywood and orange netting took residence this week at the Delancey F stop. The blockade, which surrounds the subway attendant booth, is part of a new asbestos abatement operation.
